Lecture Summary 9/17

Bill goes into detail today about the different stages of art. He talks about post modernism and that it took too long to die. In short words, he simply says how it shifts from a dialog taking place in person to a mediated dialog through art fairs, media, etc. Modernism, Impressionism, Post Impressionism and Cubism are among others talked about in this lesson. We all know Monet to be known for Impressionism, but I find cubism to be intriguing. The way the explanation goes is that artists start with one form of art but, if creating cubism art, end with it.
